My FIRST Utah Jazz game...

One Saturday afternoon shopping at the mall with my mom and sisters, I get a phone call from my cousin Sarah. I didnt think this phone call was going to be too special because she is getting married soon and we are constantly talking about wedding plans and what not because I am a bridesmaid. But anyway, she asked me what I was doing that following Wednesday, usually when someone asks me what I'm doing I have other plans or have to work but I didnt have either of those, so I told her nothing, why? She said that Lincoln has his Jazz tickets and couldnt go to the games during the week and she wanted to take me! Instantly I said yes, I mean I had never been to a Jazz game, only watched it on TV, so of course I was excited.

When Wednesday rolled around and I realized I hadn't done my laundry in over 2 weeks. Do you know how many clothes a person like me goes through in 2 weeks? Yeah... its a lot! So I decide since I have the entire day off work I would go to Bobbie's and do laundry. I get to her house about 1pm, thinking I can get it all done before we have to leave at 5:30pm. Boy, was I wrong? So thanks to you Bobbie for finishing my laundry while I went and had an amazing time, you're the best oldest sister ever! (I had to say oldest sister because I think Jennie and Tiff read my blog and I dont want to offend anyone.)
I was sooo stoked to go to the game, I was even more stoked when Sarah said I could wear one of her Jazz jerseys! She wore Memo and I wore Williams! I took her to dinner at Arby's which we ate in the car on the drive up to Sandy so we could get on the Trax. It had been a really long time since I had been on Trax but it was a lot of fun and we got some crazy pics too!

Anyway, so we get to the game right as it is starting! I had never been to one of the games so it was like the most amazing feeling in the world. Like imagine seeing snow for the first time or seeing the ocean for the first time! It was THAT cool! Just the lights and the sounds. They turned off the lights and had a firework thing go BOOOM after they announced each player! Then the lights turned on and the music was still going and I was pumped! The first person I saw that made it all seem so surreal was Memo! He is soooo much taller than I thought he would be! It was the most awesome thing I have ever done!

OK so Blogger said I needed to title this and I titled it 3 pointer by BOOOZER but it was Memo, so my bad! :) But Sarah took this video at the game, it was sooo sick!!!! Also at the end, she does a shot of the play being replayed on the jumbotron, which later in the game we were on! We just danced like crazy fools and it was just sooo much fun! Sarah had never been on the jumbotron and her and Lincoln always go to the games so I felt cool that we made it on there!

Another person who made it on the jumbotron was this guy! He didnt make it on there because he was dancing cute or being cool, he made it on there for being a complete idiot. As you can see, his jersey does not say "Utah" or "Jazz" on it... it says "Portland" He was rooting for the other team, (poor guy!) anyway, The Jazz Bear was going around and spraying silly string on fans and just being a character, well... this guy was NOT having that. He stood up walked towards the bear and poured his BEER on the bear! What an idiot, right? That makes it on the jumbotron too so that everyone can see, and so us UTAH fans start boo-ing at him. Security comes and takes him outside to give him a talk. The game is still going on by the way. He comes back in and fans start throwing garbage at him, Man I love Utahns! Then we all see the Jazz Bear with a green bucket running up the stairs. Security tried to stop him but he just busted past them and went and dumped a whole bucket of water on this guy and knocked him down and threw the bucket on him, that guy was so mad!!!! This is a picture that Sarah took of the bear pouring the water on him! It was classic! I was laughing so hard afterwards and will always remember that happening at my first Jazz game!!!
What a fun game that was! Jazz WON! 101-96! Thanks so much to Lincoln for giving me the chance to go see that game with his soon to be wife Sarah. She is my best friend and I knew it was hard for him to give up his ticket and his best friend too, to me for the night but it was a chance of a lifetime to go to a Jazz game with such good seats as well. Thanks also to Sarah for putting up with me at the game, I got a little wild and crazy, especially when Kyle Korver was on the court! If you havent seen this guy, look him up because he is such a HOTTIE!!! WOW! I had the best time that night and I will never forget this as long as I live. Thanks everyone!

hey i just noticed your blog on your facebook, and I'll admit I was pretty taken in by your first jazz game experience! it was great detail, and made me realize a few things I now take for granted that are really awesome about being at a game! Anyways, random comment, I know.. but I liked the post! It's always fun reading things like that.
