What did I learn in Stake Conference??? (Sept 18-19)

I learned....

"We must build enduring faith in Jesus Christ by saving & rescuing souls.

- Be dilligent and encouraging." President Droubay

Alma taught his people that in order to gain salvation they must:

1. Repent & Keep the Commandments

2. Be born again

3. Cleansed in the blood of Christ

4. Be humble

5. Do good works

That is the only way WE can gain salvation as well. We can only rid our lives of the worldly things, if individually come unto Christ and do all we can to do the right things all the time.

We must make family prayer, family history, and family scripture study a priority in your life, so it wont be a struggle for you and it will be a blessing. :)

D&C 68:6 Be of good cheer and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you and will stand by you.

We must have faith and hope in the Lord when doubt and fear comes.

We are in our own "mission field" just like the missionaries, so we must be doing all we can to bring souls unto Christ.

"We should not go to our maker and say that we didn't teach anyone about the church because we are too busy, too shy, or whatever the case may be. --Every member a member. -said by Elder Wilkinson

Helaman 5:12 No matter the trial or struggle we are faced with, we must ALWAYS build our foundation on the Savior Jesus Christ.

"It is a silly thing for us to be offended out of the church."-Elder Dallin H. Oaks

Never give up hope when rescuing those who have fallen away. They will be saved;we all will.

"Time and truth are on your side" -Elder Anderson

We must attend the temple, do family history work, be anxiously engaged in sharing the gospel and finding people for the missionaries to teach, have faith and pray for the work to progress in places where missionary work is not yet available, and serve others. -President Pace

"Personal testimony is the foundation of our faith" -M. Russell Ballard

Every breath Jesus Christ took was all about love.

-His message is essential to returning to Heavenly Father. His message is still being taught today by members and missionaries.

-His ministry of miracles. Which are still being performed by worthy priesthood brethren.

-His mission of being able to pay the price for all mankind (The Atonement). Which is the single greatest act in the history of mankind.

"We must know of the love of God for all of His children and serve them all." -Elder Oaks

Testimony Gloves

1. Heavenly Father lives.

2. Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world.

3. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He restored the gospel and translated the Book of Mormon.

4. The Church of Jesus Christ is the true church on the earth.

5. We have a prophet on the earth today. (Thomas S. Monson)

D&C 38:42 Go ye out from among the wicked; save yourselves. Be ye clean the bear the vessels of the Lord.

As you can see... I learned alot this conference. I was truly edified and am so thankful for the amazing opportunity it was to hear from an apostle of the Lord.

I just love Church! :)
