My parents got a new swing set!
Let me give you a background on MY swing set. When I was about 2 years old, I would walk two blocks to the city park and play on the swings there, BEFORE we had this swing set. THEN... my parents got the NEW swing set so I could play on that and NOT go to the park. I loved this swing set. I played on it a lot. You can't tell but it was pretty cool. It had one swing, trapeze, monkey bars, and a slide. I would play on the swing and the trapeze and do lots of tricks. I got many slivers on the slide, which made it so my parents threw the slide out.
Because the swing set has been here for over 20 years, it left these big divots in the ground.
So this is the NEW and IMPROVED swing set. Basically this thing is a bajillion times better than mine. The slide is PLASTIC so no more slivers. More swings, so more kids can play on it! Which is good because we have 9 little people that can play on it. It has the little glider thing, which is AWESOME! It does have trapeze too, but none of the kids are big enough to use them and we have more babies, so we put the baby swing on. The coolest thing about this swing set is obviously the see saw. Jennie's kids played on it Wednesday and they loved the see saw the most. It's really cool because it has good grass underneath and it is close by the sandbox too.
But.... I am still sad that my swing set that I grew up with is now our firewood for the fire pit. I loved that swing set. My parents bought it for ME and me only, maybe that's why I loved it so much. It will take some getting used to, to the new one but I'm sure I will be okay. This new swing set will be the one that MY kids will enjoy someday! Wow, that's weird to think about. Me? Kids!? Ha... someday... :)
