A Letter To Someone Who Has Hurt You Recently...

I couldn't really think of who I wanted to send this letter to more than one but I didn't really know how to express my thoughts without going too personal so I looked up online and found this. It was so great and I have to give credit to whomever wrote it.

Satan,

I must say it's been a while since we've been together...hasn't it? I thought I'd write though so as to let you know why I've not been hanging out in the usual places. You see I prayed...I know you told me not to but...I was lonely and you were not there as usual...I prayed and God listened...something you said He wouldn't do. You lied to me...you said that being a Christian would remove any fun in life...YOU LIED! I went to church even though you told me it would be boring...everyone there welcomed me. Your people used me; Christ's people respected me- so much for your promise of popularity. I'll make you regret lying to me. All this time that has passed I could have lived...I could have lived. Instead I was blinded and followed you instead, so instead of fun I found despair, hatred, and pain...why didn't you tell me, why did you lie? The Lord tells me that you fear the weakest of all saints on their knees in prayer. So then are you afraid? How's it feel then Satan? I was afraid for so long...how does it feel to be afraid? It's hard changing from evil to good, but through Christ I can. One of my sins is hatred. So now then monster have some of your own medicine.

Satan! I'm coming for you, with God in the lead, and there's no way out! You tricked me...WAR...I declare WAR. I may be weak, you might kill my children, you might kill my wife, burn my home, and make me deathly sick, but I will never leave Christ. You hear me Satan...never will I leave Christ. I've begun telling the ones you've lied to the truth...truth, ha back when you controlled my speech truth was a bad word...It's going to take some work but I'll become a warrior for Christ...a warrior, not a gimp like your followers. I've decided to follow Christ. You will never be more than second best and as we all know, second best is the first loser.

It's time for me to go now...do understand that everything you showed me is not forgotten, no none of it, not in the slightest. Now the war begins and in it I will use your powers you taught me of destroying souls, only through Christ I will save them instead of destroying them, instead of death metal it's Christian heavy metal, instead of my dress promoting beer it promotes Christ, instead of hating everyone now I comfort them. As for the hate, well, you gave it to me...you can have it back...in your face. Goodbye!

Sincerely, The Weakened Saint

I am the weakened saint, I believe we all are. Satan has all of us under his grasp and once we realize that we are not in control of our own lives, it might be too late. There is hope, Christ is that hope. We can be saved from our pains, sins, afflictions, sorrows, and imperfectness by following the Savior and not following Satan. I have no regrets because the things that I've done have shaped and molded me into the woman that I am now. A strong, LDS woman who knows without a shadow of a doubt that Christ did suffer for me and Satan cannot have power over me if I know these things and just come unto Christ. That is our main goal in life, that is the ONLY way back to our Heavenly Father. I love what I know. The Church is true and I'm thankful for it in my life.

How You Found Out About Blogger And Why You Have One...

I found out about blogger from my sister Bobbie Murphy. She had a blog and I decided why not do a blog. It started out as an online journal and pretty much stayed as an online journal. I had a hard time keeping up with it and most of my posts are "updates", but I'm sure with this 30 day challenge I will be able to update more and more often as well. I shared a few personal experiences in my blog, shared my testimony many times, have told people off, and told people that I loved them. I'm happy I started a blog because for so long, I kept things bottled up inside and had no passage way to let my thoughts run free. Ever since I started blogging, I've had an easier time to let my thoughts flow more freely.

Songs You Listen To When You Are Happy, Sad, Bored, Hyped, Mad...

I'm a big music person and I love finding new songs and listening to the lyrics. Some are, heartfelt, sad, crazy, sometimes innappropriate, and unforgettable. I just love music, all different types.

Sometimes when I am HAPPY I will listen to songs from GLEE or songs that remind me of times I had with my friends. There is one song that sticks out the most to me when I had a fun time with a friend and that song is "Boom Boom Pow" by Black Eyed Peas. I remember this moment so clearly, it was one of the first times I heard that song and Jenny and I were driving in her car and we were dancing and we pulled up to this car and saw this car of kids and they all had weird sunglasses on and we just stopped and looked at them, then drove away and kept dancing. It was totally random but I remember it.

Sometimes when I am SAD I will listen to country songs or some rock music. Taylor Swift mostly, Theory of a Deadman, and this other band called Safetysuit. Taylor Swift has lyrics that just apply so well to my age group and the things I am going through. I love it! I don't know why I really like those bands because they DON'T have lyrics that apply to my life but they do play sad songs that will try to make me feel better.

BORED and HYPED... I don't know what I listen to. I listen to any music when I'm bored.

MAD...I mostly listen the same songs that make me sad.

Music is a big part of my life and I'm so thankful for talented people to share their gifts of music with me, so I can be happy, sad, bored, hyped, and mad.

Also...

To go along with today's update of doing something in the last week that I'm proud of. I made Bobbie's bean dip. Yes, for those of you who know... it's really not that hard to make. But I felt pretty proud. I actually cooked, well... made something! To all you doubters, that say I cannot cook! I say.... click the link!!!! :)
Something You're Proud Of In The Last Few Days...

This one is kinda hard cause I haven't really done much good or something that someone would be proud of me in, but... I've been babysitting this week, and watching someone else's kids is definitely a test of your patience. So I'm proud that I've kept my cool with the children and have been patient with them and haven't told my sister I would never watch her kids again. Nobody's perfect not even the little children, so I can't and shouldn't bite their heads off when they don't do something completely perfect all the time. Everyone makes mistakes and I need to learn to deal with the problems that these kids have and just go with the flow and LOVE THEM. Everyone deserves to be loved, even if they do things that make you mad. So I guess I've learned to love and be patient. Two things that I struggle with.

Short Term Goals For This Month And Why...

***Since November is starting in less than a week, I'm making these goals for November, not October.***

1. Go walking every day with my mom. We've been pretty good BUT I want to keep on it EVERY single day!

2. Read my scriptures EVERY day! I'm trying to do better... so giving myself a goal will be a good thing.

3. Save my money better and get out of debt faster. Since I'll be working more this month, I can pay my debt off faster. YAY!

4. Be a better friend.

5. Make sure my room is clean every night before bed, that is REALLY hard for me but I'm sure I'll feel better if my room is clean every night, and maybe I will go to sleep at a decent time.

Thats all for now, Nobody's Perfect but at least I'm trying and I have goals in mind to change. :)

A Picture of Someone/Something That Has The Biggest Impact On You...

Jesus Christ, My Savior and Redeemer.
Some Christlike attributes are: knowledge, humility, charity, love, obedience, dilligence, faith and hope.
He is a teacher and a leader.
He performed MANY miracles when He was on the earth.
He is gentle, kind, and meek.
He paid the ultimate price for my sins, sufferings, pains, afflictions, and infirmities.
He died on the cross for me and shed drops of blood for me, so I wouldn't have to go through this alone. He knows my pains and my struggles. He is always there for me. He will never leave me alone.
He LIVES! He loves me! I know this because the Spirit has whispered it to me, and told me it is true.

Jesus Christ is the person who has the biggest impact on my life. He is the one that knows my course and only wants to see me happy and to succeed. He wants the same for you. I love my Savior with all of my heart and I can't wait to sit at his feet again one day and learn from him. I love Jesus Christ and I KNOW He loves me too.
