***NERD ALERT***

I am in LOVE with this new game on Facebook! It is called BlockSquad! It is SUPER addicting! What I love most about it is... at the end when you die, your little person cries like a little girl and it is just the cutest little cry. If you have Facebook, you should totally play it and then you will be hooked lol. It's super funny.

Somewhat of an update...

Let's see...

Another lady called me today and asked me if I would clean her house. So starting next week, I will be cleaning her house and this other lady's. I'll alternate every other week for both of them. I'm pretty excited to be making SOME money! I'll be cleaning their houses on Tuesdays. That's really the only free day that I can do it... I'm sure I could pull off a Wednesday, but I kinda want to have one day off. :) The schools sometimes call me too, so I basically have to fit everything in with everyone which is still great and works out pretty well for me. Also, I LOVE watching Jennie's kids still. I am beginning to love it more and more every time I watch them. It's such a learning experience and teaches me so much about little kids. Not like I would want to do it five days a week or whatever... but I love those kids so much. They make me so happy!

Chris and I are doing good. He's busy working on websites and I'm just trying to stay busy with working and what not. I'm still trying to keep a social life so I get together with my friend Jo and we watch Glee on Tuesdays! Last night she slept over, we played Phase 10, and watched The Social Network. It was a pretty relaxed night but we had a lot of fun talking about anything and everything. I've been doing good at keeping a good bedtime, so for now I will end this blog... maybe if I have enough time when I'm done babysitting, I'll blog tomorrow. Until then, sweet dreams blogging world.

PS. If I decided to do a video blog... how many of you would watch or follow? Just a thought right now...

As of lately....

I have been intrigued by dreams and what they mean. Since my dreams are so scattered anyways and confusing, I decided I would look up what certain points in my dreams mean, different things that I notice in the scenery, the people there, and how everyone interacts with each other. I found this site the other day and I just love it. It won't interpret your entire dream but if you type in some keywords it will. For example, if you type in say birds, it will say something to the effect of symbolizing your goals and aspirations, that weights have been lifted off your shoulders and you feel free. It's amazing how true they are and how they do in fact tell truth to your dreams. Call me crazy but I am fascinated with dreams.

(Totally ignore the picture. I wanted to do a picture so my blog would stand out and it wouldn't be all wordy and stuff, new goal I am trying. So I found this image in Google images. I still don't like cats.)

* A PICTURE OF YOU AND A FAMILY MEMBER *
I'm sure there might be more pics of me and family members (cousins) but I was too lazy to creep on people's Facebook or blogs to find them. So, the first one is of Matt and I. I think it was at a birthday party last year, but I'm not sure. This picture is a typical one of us... he's always picking on me and he really does love me. You can see that he's taller than me too... yeah... my LITTLE brother is bigger than me. Oh well. I still love him.
This one is of Sarah and I at the movies. I can't remember for the life of me what movie we saw though....was it Clash of the Titans? I think it was that. We went to Olive Garden for lunch, then that movie afterwards. It was a lot of fun to spend time with her. It always is! We lived together for almost a year after we got out of high school, I was her maid of honor at her wedding, and we have an ongoing competition of who is Kaylin's favorite auntie. (Kaylin told me that Sarah was her favorite, but I don't believe her! HAHA, just kidding Sarah... you've gotta be someone's fave!) Sarah has always been there for me through thick and thin and is a super fun cousin to hang out with. Her and I like similar things like: shopping, eating out, going to the movies, watching movies, same music, and playing with the Murphy kids. She's one of my best friends and I love her dearly. Thanks for being such a great friend and cousin to me Sarah. I only wish we saw each other a lot more than we do. Love you cuz!

* A PICTURE OF SOMETHING YOU'RE AFRAID OF*
Being alone! I am scared to be alone. I hate being home alone, driving at night alone, sometimes sleeping alone, going to the movies alone, going shopping alone, and having the people close to me not being there; which therefore makes me be alone. It's a sad feeling, but I don't like to be alone for a long time. I mean, of course we all need our personal alone time, but I live for people's attention and interaction with people.
MICE! I hate the way they look, I hate the way I can hear them sometimes but never see them, I hate the way when I do see them it freaks me out, and I hate the sick feeling I feel when I see or hear them. Just plain gross! EW!
Ladders! I try to avoid going on ladders at all costs. Especially ones like the one in this photo. Ones that are more stationary I could be fine with going up maybe 2-3 rungs... but ladders like this... I DON'T THINK SO!
Heights! And also... probably on a tight rope over tons of traffic between two buildings. (I've never tried it but assuming I'm afraid of heights... probably NEVER going to happen.) I do like going on some roller coasters that are high up though. BUT... ones that stop at the top or hang you off a building or an edge of some sort... NO THANK YOU! I just don't like looking down when I am far up.
This picture doesn't really display what I'm afraid of but it was the best I could do. I think it looks like I would be afraid of aliens, trees, or the dark. If you guessed the last one, you would be correct-o-mundo! I am indeed afraid of the dark. I am 23 years old and I sleep with a night light. Also, I live in the basement and it's fairly dark going from the stairs to my room. So... instead of turning on every light before I get to my room, I've got two night lights; one in the hall and one at the bottom of the stairs. And also, the one in my room. I also have to sleep with my baby blanket for comfort. No matter where I am, that blanket comes with me. And yes, I have taken it to Canada! One time I took it into a movie theater because I wanted the blanket to comfort me. By the way, the movie was Black Swan. (not that scary, tbh!)

On that note, scary movies! Totally afraid of them! My blanket will always be there if I am watching a scary movie. And as if my dreams weren't scary enough, I don't need scary movies to make them more scary. By the way, in my dreams... I kill people. People from my past, like old friends in grade school, friends from a few years back, exes, and even family members. Yes, I am a freak, so scary movies... I don't need 'em!
Getting in a car accident! That just plain freaks me out! That picture is just so scary to me! I couldn't even imagine being in an accident, a really serious one! I would have a panic attack for sure and have some sort of post traumatic stress afterwards, because I've had this fear of getting into an accident for so long. I see on T.V. that accidents happen A TON, and I am just so fearful. It's scary to think about.
AND... this.... REALLY?

* A PICTURE THAT CAN ALWAYS MAKES YOU SMILE*
I decided to do two pictures. Totally random but both of these pictures were from the same weekend. The first one was at temple square and Chris and I were taking a silly one, then all of a sudden behind us came my friend Briana (she was with us that day too) and made that face in the background. It was so funny! And I can't help but smile each time I see this picture.
The next one was when we were going to see District 9 and we were stopped at a stop light and took this picture. It is of us trying to be gangster or as Chris would say... "G'z" (wow...). Chris looks more gangsta than me... and I just look ridonk! But it's funny.

So there's this picture game 30 day challenge going around, I don't think I am going to play along with the picture thing, BUT I will tell some stories about a few of the things, since I don't have pictures for most of the days but I feel like I am a good storyteller. So we'll see how it goes.
*A PICTURE OF SOMEONE YOU MISS*

This is my best friend Jenny. She is on a mission in Oregon right now. She has been gone a month tomorrow. She's doing super well and loving the work. She is a great missionary and I know she will continue to do her best and bring many people into the church. She is a kind person and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She is loyal, sincere, genuine, is VERY blunt, honest, and loving. Maybe that's why she is my best friend.
But, I miss her! I know that she is out serving the Lord and doing what he is asking of her to do. I really miss that whenever I'm having a hard time I can't just call her or text her like I used to, I'd have to write her a letter and wait for the response back a few days later. It's very hard because I haven't received a letter since she's been in Oregon (since January 24). It's like should I write her another letter cause maybe she didn't get mine? But if I write her another letter then when I send it I get her letter same day or the next day. It's so confusing. I'm praying for success to be in her favor and safety of course. I miss her a lot.

Things that I love...

Beds! This is NOT my bed but I love this bed! Someday I will have a bed like this! ZZZZzzzzzzzzz........
Blogging! I know I don't blog enough but I love to blog whenever I get the chance to. I'm working on it, okay? Get off my back!
And I mean who doesn't love Facebook. I love it so much! I am on it constantly. I also love the movie "The Social Network" which is about how Facebook came about. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you see it. I own it, so if you'd like to borrow it, let me know.
Glee! I love everything about Glee! The songs, the drama, the issues, etc. I just love it all. The characters were well picked and it's no wonder they won 3 awards at the Golden Globes!
Hot Showers! It was hard to find an image on google images that didn't have a person in the photo. Man, would that be creepy! Anyways, I LOVE hot showers. Our hot water doesn't last very long but I sure do crank it to HOT when I am in it for like 5 minutes.
Writing and receiving letters from "my missionary". My best friend Jenny is on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Portland Oregon. She left almost a month ago and we've been very good at writing to each other. I love getting her letters to see how well she is doing then I also love writing to her about what I've been up to.
Netflix! Whoever invented Netflix... I love you! Watching my favorite shows instantly? I think yes! Sometimes you have to get them on DVD, which I've never done before and I most likely won't but other than that, it is pretty sweet!
ROAD TRIP!!!!!! I can't even tell you how long it's been since I've gone on the road to travel somewhere more than two hours to Salt Lake. I am in need of a serious road trip to somewhere warm and happy. I guess in road trip, we can call it travelling too. I love to travel and it's been since October that I've flown on a plane. I'd love to fly somewhere again and just travel the world. Ahhh someday!
Uhhhh... yeah... strawberry banana yogurt is the best!!!
SHOPPING! If someone would pay me to shop I so would. It is the funnest thing ever! I just love it!
SUNSETS! The ones in Oak City are so much prettier than this one I found in Google Images. Don't believe me? Come to Oak City and see. Sunset photographers dream right here, nowhere else!
Sunshine! Nothing like God's Heavenly rays to smile down upon you with the hot, smoldering heat of the sunshine. All in all, I love spring and summer and all that it offers me. Also, funny thing about this picture... I always remembered my third grade teacher Mr. Frandsen would always draw his sunshines with sunglasses. HAHA!
The most obvious one on here, I'm sure if you knew me you were wondering, "Why is WCP not at the top of Emily's list?" Well... it is at the top of my list but on here I didn't upload it first. I still love it more than a lot of things! Oh dang, I am craving one right now.
Walking is one of my favorite things too! Last fall mom and I would walk everyday. Winter came and it was too cold to walk. NOW, it is warming up and we're going to start walking again! I just love being outside in nature, talking with my mom, and feeling refreshed when I am done walking. It is the best. If you don't already walk or work out, you should walk at least twice a week. We usually walk a mile and a quarter and it is a pretty decent work out. Also... invest in some shape up shoes. I got mine for $30 at Wally World and I LOVE THEM! You will too, they totally tone your butt and legs and it is just awesome!
NOT KITTIES!!!! But cuddling! I love to cuddle, snuggle, spoon, whatever you want to call it. It's the bomb! And NOT KITTIES!!! Kitties are NOT the bomb!
Sleeping! Going to bed and laying there reflecting about your day is the most wonderful feeling. Where you give your body the chance to wind down and take a break of being active. Sleeping rules!
My family! This is not my family! But my family is awesome, just like the Stick family. They've always been there for me to support me in whatever I am doing. I am thankful that I am the age that I am, that my older siblings have taken it upon themselves to be married and make babies, so that I am able to play with them. 9 little people to hang out with. I mean, who wouldn't want 9 little best friends who don't judge you or hate you because of who you are. They LOVE you because of who you are! I love my family and the great examples they are to me. I love my parents and the great supporters they are to me.
Going to the movies! Or just movies in general! Let's list some of my favorite movies.
Top ten movies of all time are:
1. Inception
2. Avatar
3. The Social Network
4. The Last Song
5. The Lion King
6. The Town
7. Pearl Harbor
8. Titanic
9. Just Friends
and 10. Toy Story 3
If you haven't seen any of those, I HIGHLY recommend it.
MUSIC! Music is my life. I am constantly either listening to music or singing a song in my head. I love mostly all types of music. Not so much hardcore rock and roll, screamer bands, oldies type like 50s or 60s music or even older than that, and depends on the mood I am in for classical music. I am really digging Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, FeFe Dobson, Jesse McCartney, Justin Bieber, Runner Runner, Safetysuit, and Drake at the moment. It's a crazy variation but I also listen to music that I listened to in high school or bascially any popular music that is on the radio right now.
The scriptures! I am starting again to read the Book of Mormon with my parents and Chris. It is a slow process because we always get so busy that it is hard for us to find a time to read. But I feel like when we do read it brings us closer together and makes us a closer family. I love the scriptures and all that they teach us. I love to study the words of the ancient prophets of old. Oh yeah, and if you don't read the scriptures, you definitely should. Especially the Book of Mormon.
The Salt Lake Temple! Wow! I mean, look at how gorgeous that is! I love all the temples but there's something about the Salt Lake temple. It's just so perfect and I always get a peaceful feeling whenever I see it or whenever I am on the grounds. It also has some special meaning because that is where I took Chris when he came here for the first time. It was basically where our first date was.
AND.... The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Being a member of the only true church on this earth has definitely blessed my life in more ways than I can count. I know it is true and I will never deny the truth that I know. I know that Christ live and that he did come down to this earth to atone for your sins and mine so that we could be with Him and Heavenly Father again someday. The Atonement is REAL. It happened, and He did it for me and for you. This church is the only true one on this earth and gives me the greatest happiness.

New Year.

New Trials.

New Laughs.

New Obstacles.

New Happiness.

New Friends.

New Enemies.

New Mistakes.

New Forgiveness.

New Person.

Welcome to 2011! Can you believe it? Who would have thought that we'd make it this far? For some, more than others. It feels so wonderful to be alive right now, don't you agree?

What a time for an update/goal making/rant/anything else I want to put down because it's my blog and I'll do what I want to.

UPDATE: My first day back from a whole month off of watching Jennie and JD's kids was this past Thursday! Chris decided to come with me so that was fun. I worked Thursday and Friday so it has been a long past two days but I survived and went to bed at like 9:30 last night. Next week, I will be working 32 hours. Between the lunchroom, custodian at the high school, and Jennie's kids it's a full week. I'm also giving my blood away to the American Red Cross on Friday, they called me so either I have good blood (I never asked what my type was last time I was there) OR they are just in short supply of blood. Whatever the case, I'm giving them my blood. Another update is that my best friend Jenny Ostler went into the MTC on Wednesday. She got her mission call to go to Portland Oregon and I couldn't be happier for her. She will make an excellent missionary and will bring many people unto Christ. But, I miss her a lot! She was always there for me and has an amazing Spirit that I miss so badly. I can't just text her or call her when I need to talk to her, I have to write a letter and wait for it to come. Letters are SO old school! They need to give missionaries iPhone's or Blackberry's. So A) they can schedule appointments when needed and B) they can call or text their loved ones whenever they want to. BUT... that is not how missionary work works, so I will just have to write her if I want to talk to her. Anyways, life is good. I've been working a lot for the schools so my check will be pretty awesome! Sometimes, it really stinks to be working so much while Chris is still here but I can't just sit at home and do nothing. So I am thankful to be going into work a lot.

That is basically all that is up with me. Chris and I are doing okay, things could be and have been better BUT we're not perfect so we are just going to keep trying and work out our differences and see where we end up. 19 months of knowing a person is quite a long time, let alone dating them for that long. But, you do find out a lot more about a person if you date them for 19 months than for say 2 months then get married. Not that I am bashing those that have done that, I am just saying for the fact of... you know more about a person over time is all. Even though Chris and I have only been with each other probably 5 months consecutively of those 19 months, we talked every day and got to know each other in other ways. I wouldn't trade the long distance relationship though. Yes it is a heck of a lot better now that he is here, but I still got to know him. I still was a huge part of his life as was he a huge part of mine.

GOAL MAKING TIME: Alright kids, since it is a brand new year and since "everyone is doing it", I am going to make a list of goals for the month that I am sure I will break BUT I am still going to post them and see if I can keep them. Talk about having so much faith in myself, eh? Well here goes nothing:
1. Be a better example to those around me.
2. Drive the speed limit. (Trust me, that is hard for me)
3. Write Jenny. (Another hard one)
4. Be more physically active. (I'm not going run a marathon or anything. I will just get up and get moving. Kinect, take breaks from playing the computer and walk around. If weather permits, go for a walk outside)
5. Keep my room clean. (Probably the hardest one of all)
6. Get into a better habit of going to sleep earlier.
7. AND Read the scriptures again.
Should we keep a tally of which ones I will break first? Since we all know that goal making is kinda silly. We make all these goals then we don't really intend to keep them. Oh and did you notice that I didn't put "give up Wild Cherry Pepsi"? Well... we all know how that would end up. Plus, Matt and Kyli bought me a liter the other day so I can't just let it go to waste. :)

RANT TIME: HAHA, maybe I should have done these all in separate posts. Cause I'm sure you probably stopped reading after my update, since that is all you all are here for anyways. So if you are still reading and do read completely to the end, please leave a comment telling me how awesome my blog and I are or say whatever you want. Ok... I am supposed to be ranting now. There is just so much to rant about that I might have to put the rants into a separate blog post. Hmm, yep... that's what I'll do. Since it is my blog and I can do whatever I want.

Okay kids, stay in school, don't do drugs, eat your greens, and say hello to everyone you see. This blog is brought to you by "MY HANDS, thee hands that Emily washes every day and types with every day. The hands you wish you had but you have your hands instead. HANDS" Also, the number 9. And the letter G. Bye Bye now!

Please comment!
