This is what I did today...

I MET JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!
Okay, just kidding! I didn't really meet Justin Bieber. This was part of my April Fools joke to my friends on Facebook! Chris photoshopped a picture of me onto Selena Gomez's body! I really appreciate him doing that for me, cause heck, I know I couldn't!!! The second part to my April Fools joke to my friends on Facebook was changing my birthday to today so that people would wish me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, when it really wasn't. Some caught on to the gag but others, still posted Happy Birthday to me. It was pretty fun to see some of the responses. I'll post some:
Happy Birthday..........in December!!!!!!!!!

Um Em your birthday is in March. You goober. :) (yeah my bday is NOT in March, sorry Jennie W)

So.. I just realized that it's only your fake birthday and I'm taking back what I previously said. You deserve no wishes today. Happy April Fool's Day though! :P

Ummm, I doubt you are taller than JB, but you sure look good together!!!

I heard your birthday was today, but I think its a joke, and you just want to have lots of birthdays.. just in case its not an april fools day joke.. Happy Birthday!

Happy 50th birthday!!
Hope you and Justin partay it up.
Poor lil Chrissypoo...

You little liar...it is so not your birthday.

and by far my favorite!!! Oh Emily, I love you dear :D This took a lot of effort. I'm so glad you got to meet Justin Beiber on your birthday! How cool is that?!? Haha ;) Happy birthday to my brother, Ralph and happy April Fool's Day to you!!!

Let me just tell you I have some pretty awesome friends! Even if it wasn't my birthday my friends TOTALLY made my day!!! :) I love you all!

PS! Watch this video! It's pretty awesome!!! Make sure your speakers are turned up! :)

Color Fest 2011 (Long post, you are now warned)

Last night my sister Jennie and I were talking about The Festival of Colors and how she wanted to take Madelyn to it because she thought Madelyn would enjoy it, I told her I had some pictures of when Chris, my friend Jo, and I went last weekend and asked if she had seen them. Remembering I had only posted them on Facebook and forgetting that she doesn't have Facebook, she would probably never be able to see them. So I decided to post them and blog about my time there for her and some of my other friends who don't have the opportunity to view them via Facebook. (I'll probably be doing that with all of my other pictures as well just because of that sole reason)

I read online that they had free parking at the fairgrounds in Spanish Fork and a shuttle for $2 to take us straight to the temple because they didn't want people parking on the side of the road because traffic was going to be bad that day anyways, so we parked at the fairgrounds. Basically we parked WAY in the very back of the fairgrounds in a little parking lot thing. As we were walking down to get on the shuttle we noticed a SUPER long line of about 50+ people waiting for the shuttle. We thought about it and said that it wasn't THAT far to walk there, so we set out on foot. 2 miles later.... we arrived. Upon arriving the people from the color throwing before had saved some of their color and threw it on us as we were in our last steps up to the temple. So basically we didn't need to throw the color because we had already got some color on us, HA not!
This is what Chris looked like as soon as we got to the Kirshna Temple grounds.
 Chris and I together
People just attacked Chris with this powdery, chalky stuff. Literally attacked him, it was pretty funny.
My good friend Jo came with us! YAY!
 Jo and I!
(Ignore the creepers in the background) After we got our bags of color (87,000 bags were sold the day we went) we went closer down to the stage and waited for them to tell us when to all throw our bags at the same time. It's really awesome when so many people at the same time with so many different colors of chalk throw them at the same time. It was pretty awesome to see.
Face pretty well covered now, but we're not going to leave!!!
Chris by far had the coolest face out of all of us. All the orange and then little specks of all the other colors. It looked really awesome, right?
 Jo and her messy face!
Uh, yeah... Glasses protect your eyes from getting chalk in them yes, BUT the chalk builds up and you basically can't see ANYTHING! It was still a good time!
I think this was AFTER we threw all the colors. Also, you can see how crammed everyone is in such a small space. Still, it was a lot of fun! Little kids kept throwing chalk at us and we'd throw it back! It was a good time.
You can't really tell but this is us in front of the Krishna temple. Not as many people back here but still a lot.
Walking the 2 miles BACK to the car!
 SAY CHEESE CHRIS!!!!
Wow, did I really look THAT bad?
 Back in the car, FINALLY!
 Chris' sweet hair!
My sister Bobbie was nice enough to let us use her showers since she lives in Spanish Fork. One thing we really didn't think over too well, was we all showered at the same time in separate showers, of course , so the hot water didn't last very long! Luckily Jo and I had washed our faces first and just said we would try to get the rest of the color out of our hair back home. (By the way, my roots STILL have a little pink in them, I've taken four showers since Saturday.) Chris on the other hand, comes out with chalk still on his face and mad as ever because all the hot water was gone. We went to Barry's Drive In in Spanish Fork and ate dinner then went back to Bobbie's so Chris could finish getting it off his face.
 Posing in the bathroom...
Showing you how caked on it really is... eww.
 My colorful hair!
Full body-ish shot. Which bathroom am I in??? (LOL, the master bath!)
All in all, it was a fun time. My legs were super sore after walking 4 miles in one day. I was really happy with the time that we went, because afterwards it started to rain and can you imagine WET chalk? Not fun! It was a fun time and I will probably keep going all my years living in Utah. It's a fun tradition and I am happy I was able to participate in it.

So, Jennie... do you want to take Madelyn now? :)

Another random thought that really only *I* would care about... I said Facebook 13 times in that last post and 13 is my lucky number. Have a nice day/night all!

Random thoughts I had today...

First of all... I feel as if my blog is too plain. Like, I see other people's blog and they are so much more elaborate with pictures and what not and cutesy fonts or whatever, but mine is just the same font, same size, same everything. It's kind of annoying. This is why I did this font bigger! SEE ME NOW! ;)
Okay that big font was too much for me, so we're back to normal. Someday, I will get creative enough to figure things out. Someday...

Next... I use Facebook! Okay, let me rephrase, I LIVE on Facebook! But sometimes I wonder how many people are just like me and can't live without their computers or social networking. (I also, use blogger and twitter too!) Also, I wonder about those who don't have Facebook, like my cousin for example, she doesn't have Facebook! Sarah I do not know how you could not have Facebook, it is awesome. But seriously, Facebook for other people is used differently than I use it. Basically, I'll admit it... I am a Facebook stalker. If you put up a picture or an album, trust me it is going to get stalked. Chris and I call my "stalking" doing my "dailies". If you're a WoW freak, (which I don't think any of my followers are, so I'll just tell you) there's special tasks/missions/whatevers to complete and you have to do them daily or they reset or something or other (I never played WoW, Chris just told me one day when he was that he had to do his "dailies") soooo... if I don't do these "dailies" they don't necessarily reset, they just become old news. For example, say someone posted a status right now about something crazy weird but I didn't get on Facebook till next Tuesday... that is OLD news and no one gives a crap about the status OR my comment. Hence the reason why I try to stay up to date with my friends on Facebook. Same goes with Twitter too. Twitter is easier to do dailies on cause there's not as many people, and I don't have 500+ followers there as I do on Facebook. WOW, anyways, back to my real thought, see that's what I get for thinking, I go off on these tangents about nothing. Anywho... Facebook is different for some than it is for me. I have friends that I have forgotten if we are even friends anymore, then WHAM, out of the darkness here they come with a status update a month after they had last got on. Then I remember, "Oh yeah, I AM friends with her!" I could never do that and don't even ask me to try.

Well, that was what I was thinking today. Also, how could a person NOT get on their computer to Facebook? Facebook on your phone all the time, MAN... I would hate that... also, I would hate my phone bill since I'd be on Facebook 24/7 if I had it on my phone!

All this talk about Facebook makes me want to watch The Social Network again. Funny? Oh yes!

INTERVENTION

I have a problem... I am addicted to buying gum!!! Count 'em... 14 packs and 15 sticks! Oh yeah, and I have a pack of juicy fruit in my car too! So that makes 15 packs!!!

Is your favorite kind there???
Ok- so maybe my last post makes me sound like a brat. So I apologize! That is one thing I am really struggling with, speaking my mind but coming across as a brat. I am grateful for all of my friends and acquaintances I've made over the course of my days! I am just very confused as to why it seems to me as they aren't as grateful for me. That is just my personal opinion, because maybe when I lived in Orem, I never had time for my friends because I worked a lot and was so caught up in my long distance relationship working out that I couldn't take time for friends that mattered the most to me.

And maybe I will never know why friends grow apart, and maybe that is just a fact of life. Friends will grow apart at some time and we may not know why or how but they do. Someday I'll understand this concept more fully.

I apologize for my last post if I may have offended anyone or made them feel less of a friend to me, because that is NOT true. You all are my friends and you've been great examples to me. Thanks so much!

Remember when....

People used to blog all the time and now they don't?! -I do!

People used to text me asking me what's up, wanting to hang out, or how I was doing?! -I do!

People would WANT to talk to me on Facebook and now I have over 500 friends and talk to maybe 15-20ish, MAYBE?! -I do!

People would call me and we'd just talk on the phone for hours about the most random stuff and we'd always vent about things that were bothering us or frustrating us?! -I do!

Man, it's a crazy busy life we live in now a days. Don't you think? There's Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, texting, IM-ing, chat rooms, and so much more! But that's just technology type things! Then you get work, school, sports, relationships, roomates, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and so much more after that.

But why is it that NOW I don't have those little conversations that I once had with my closest friends? Was it because I got a boyfriend? Was it because I moved home and I'm not right there in Orem waiting to hang out with them? Was it because I changed my lifestyle and stopped partying and doing things I wasn't supposed and have gone back to church and love the calling I have? It could be so many things but honestly, why? Why did things have to change? Have *I* changed?

I guess basically what I'm saying is, I miss my friends. I miss knowing what's going on in their lives. I miss the times we had together going to movies, lunch, dinner, parties, or anything else. I've, of course, made new friends... but what ever happened to the friends I had a year ago? A month ago? 5 years ago? Am I missing something?

I hope this is just a phase I'm going through, a learning experience.

I heard a quote once, "Friends come and go, but family is always constant." Maybe my family just needs to be my friends. I'm seeing this quote more true in my life as of late, sad but true.

I just had a wonderfully craptastic day today!!! I had some highlights but mostly it was a down bummed out day.

Highlights of the day:
*Watched Kolby and Kord. Kids always seem to brighten my spirits. Even though sometimes I feel like strangling someone! (It wasn't that bad tonight). We played in a tent we made with the bunk beds, watched the end of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, wiped Kordy's nose a bazillion times, and talked some.

* I decided it would be easier to type up my entire lesson on Sunday and started typing it. I'm not quite done, but I still have a few minutes till bedtime and part of tomorrow to do it. I'll end up getting up early to type the rest but it will be worth it in the end.

*I text Jo for most of the day. We seem to always talk about the most random things but it's always sure fun. I was in kind of a grumpy mood and she was kind of spunky so I kind of forgot about why I was so grumpy/bummed out today. But then, she went to sleep... and I remembered why I'm so grumpy and now I'm even more grumpy. UGH!

*I dished up some Rocky Road ice cream. Haven't taken a bite yet but I'm sure it will cure the grumpies I have.

*It's Jersday! Which is like a holiday for me every single Thursday. That means that one of my favorite shows, Jersey Shore is on tonight. Since I was watching the boys I missed when it came on at 8 and then I have been trying since about 8:45 to get my web cam working, so I missed when it was on again at 9... BUT it's on again at 12... so technically I'll be watching on Friday but who cares? I still get to watch it.

*Onto my next highlight.... getting my web cam to work. Who knows WHY it's not working but it's not. When I plug it in to my computer it doesn't recognize it, which sucks! Soo... I had to uninstall it which took forever! Then I'm in the process of re-installing it.... which is taking LONGER! Ugh! Why this is a highlight is that I wanted to do everything all by myself. Which I kinda failed at, because I asked Chris one tiny detail... which he couldn't figure out but then I did... so basically I didn't really need him anyways. YAY for trying to fix my computer problems myself.

It seems as if I didn't really have a craptastic day but I totally did. It was nice weather and I was too grumpy to go out and enjoy it. I'm kind of annoyed with myself, but I can't wait for summer so I can do more things and hopefully, not be so grumpy!

HOW WAS YOUR DAY????

Best Ice Cream flavor goes to....

ROCKY ROAD!
(said in the voice of that guy on The Goonies, I love that show!)

It is just amazing. Chocolate, nuts, and marshmallows all blended into one yummy ice cream!

Mint chocolate chip and pecan praline are close seconds...

What's YOUR favorite ice cream???

OR, if you don't like ice cream, what's your favorite guilty pleasure food you crave the most?

Comment in the comments, duh!
