Love Me Or Hate Me.... That Is The Question...

***Think of one person while reading this***
Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward.
Which one do you choose? Or are you just in the middle? You dont necessarily LOVE this person but you dont HATE them either?
Is there one thing that this person does that you absolutely don't like and you hate them because of it? Do you hold grudges and harbor negative feelings for this person because they messed one or maybe two times? Do you believe in giving chances? Giving someone the benefit of the doubt? Do you just shut out this one person because they have offended you or done something to you that hurt you very much? Do you not hear them out and stick to your prideful ways and not forgive them? Do people ever change?
OR....
Is there one thing that this person does that makes you smile? Do they often cheer you up by calling you, sending you a message, or hanging out with them? Do you hear out this person and understand where they are coming from? Do you love them unconditionally even with all of their faults and weaknesses? Do you support them? Show appreciation for them?
Look at the definition of LOVE & HATE.... Which one sounds better? Which sounds worse? Which would YOU rather have someone feel about you? Would you rather have someone have terrible feelings for you? Or would you rather have someone have wonderful feelings for you?
I'll share the chorus to one of my favorite Primary Songs, I'm trying to Be like Jesus:
'Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought. For these are the things Jesus taught.'
In every situation that you're in, say "What would Jesus do?" "Would He be proud of what I am doing right now?" If not, change what you are doing so He would be proud.
So many times I look on my life and think, "Is He proud of me?" "Am I doing all that he would want me to do?" I am doing my best and my best is all I've got. He is proud of us when we try our best every day. I think sometimes we need to take a step back and evaluate our life every once in a while to keep ourselves in check of always doing what is right. I challenge each of you to do this. I will continue to do the same.
