Lately!!!

Wow, I haven't blogged in a VERY long time! I guess since I haven't blogged in OVER A MONTH, I should update all of you on my now crazy busy life, and tell you some things I've learned this week.

Since March 5, 2010 I got a new job!!! I now work at Panda Express in South Towne Mall in Sandy. Now, I haven't moved or anything. I still live in Orem and I drive the 30 minute drive to Sandy 4 days a week. Yes, I still work at Michaels too. So that is why my life is a little bit crazier. Working 2 jobs, 6 days a week. Its been going pretty good. I've never worked fast food, and some days I am all for it but other days I am not a huge fan. I think I just need to get the hang of it, then I wont really have any problems. It pays a significant amount MORE so that is always a good thing.

So because I've been so busy, I haven't really had time to spend with friends or family or whatever, which has been REALLY hard on me; because I am very social and just want to hang out with everyone all the time, and not have to worry about work or whatever. This is what I've learned this week. In institute last night we had a discussion about Satan blinding or distracting us and the ways that he does it. The main thing that stuck out to me was knowing where your priorities are. I had dwelled upon that for the last month or so. I've noticed in my own life, finding out where my priorities are has been such a wonderful blessing. I don't over work myself, yes I work 6 days a week but with two jobs it's really only about 40 hours a week. Which isn't too much for me. I make time to spend time with family (Sundays). And I've been trying to get together with friends to go to lunch or something, just to get away from the busyness of my life. Institute is another big importance in my life. I've told BOTH jobs to NOT schedule me past 5pm Wednesday nights so that I can attend my institute class. Its only an hour and a half and I'm pretty sure I could be getting paid by working or having a funner time doing anything BUT that; however, I look forward to learning more about the gospel and strengthening my testimony. I feel like I am doing that by going to class every Wednesday night.

So I ask myself this alot. "Where are your priorities?" If they aren't the way I want them, or I'm feeling TOO overwhelmed, then I move things around until I am comfortable with it. We'll see if I can keep up this two jobs thing. There are a few things that need to be adjusted, like scripture study, prayer, and paying tithing; but I'm working on that. YAY!

Good job at getting priorities straight! I'm happy for you. I keep telling myself that I need to get a notebook out and write down all my goals in order of priority and significance. I'll get to it! I will! Maybe my first goal should be to get the notebook out and write in it... :D
