Its been a while since I've updated. I think I need to get in a better habit of updating. I always say that and I know other bloggers say that as well, but this time its for real!

This summer has been a FUN one! I've been going home every weekend and going to the singles ward down there. I hate it because they have a lot of activities planned throughout the week and I am never able to go to them, which really bothers me, because I want to be involved in this ward. Alot of the other wards I've been in, I haven't ever wanted to be so involved but this ward I am wanting to be so badly, but I still live in Orem. :( The option of moving home has been in the back of my mind and I admit it would be a heck of a lot easier to live at home, and I'm sure my parents wouldnt mind. The only thing is, is I have a GREAT job here. I would have to find a job that I might like down there. Still, moving home is in the back of my mind and I haven't really talked to my parents about it yet. They've been empty nesters for weeks now... having a kid move back, would kinda ruin their groove of things.

The twins were born June 12, 2010. They just came home from the NICU yesterday and I've been wanting to spend alot of my time with them. They are pretty easy to take care of but they dont crawl, walk, talk, roll over, or spit up yet. Bobbie and Ryan will have their hands full when that happens. I do love them alot though. They just have the sweetest looking faces and little cries. :)

This is totally off subject, but I've had the hardest time trying to keep my room clean. I dont know why but ever since I've moved into this new apartment, there is ALWAYS clutter all over. I know part of the reason is because I do have a lot of stuff but when I lived in the other apartment in the same size of room, I could always seem to keep it cleaner than I've kept this room clean. What is the problem? I dont understand it. Getting rid of things is NOT an option though. HAHA!

I'm going to Canada again next week!!!! YAY!!!!! I'm going to the Calgary Stampede!!! Its supposed to be this HUGE thing! If anyone wants special pics/souveniers from Canada let me know by next Thursday cause thats when I'll get there! Its going to be alot of fun because every other time I've gone to Canada its been CRAZY COLD!!!! This time, Chris said it was going to warm up, lets hope I cant bring my flip flops and shorts, and not be bundled in two pairs of socks and blankets!!! I cant wait to go!!! YAY!!!! :)

ER Visit= NOT FUN!

Sunday night I went to the emergency room, lets just say it was NOT a fun experience for me. Last Tuesday my hand started shaking uncontrollably. I thought it was because I hadn't ate anything all day and I just needed to eat... False. My hand still kept shaking when I'd hold it up but only then. (Very strange indeed!) Saturday I decided to look up symptoms on WebMd. This site is very cool cause you can put where it hurts or is giving you problems then it asks you some questions then gives you your "conditions". It really works, cause I've diagnosed my own menstral cramps before. :) Anyways, it just said I needed more calcium and potassium... (obviously it had more doctory terms but I dont remember then and quite frankly dont want to look just for a blog post, because how many doctor friends do I have? Thats right, NONE!)

Next day is Sunday and I wake up and feel fine. While at church my shakes start turning into these violent twitches in my whole left arm. Not thinking anything of it, I just shake it off (no pun intended) and go about my church meetings, all the while being VERY embarrassed that someone is going to see my twitching and think I have tourettes or something. I get home and everyone is there. Throughout the afternoon the twitches became more frequent and painful/poweful. By this time, I'm freaking out! I asked my dad to give me a blessing and my brothers accompanyed him. After the blessing I felt like I needed to go to the hospital but didnt all at the same time. I felt like I needed to for the reassurance that I wasn't deadly ill but didnt for the fact of I knew that it wasn't a serious thing. I followed what my heart told me and we went to the hospital. Thank goodness for the Spirit telling me or I would probably STILL be paranoid about it... (okay probably not....)

Because the Delta hospital is very low staffed and they would probably tell me to go to Utah Valley anyways, I went up there. Mom and Dad came with me, which was an amazing experience because I felt so loved and taken care of with them. We got to the hospital and waited FOREVER!!! We saw a little boy who was VERY sick come in with his parents and he got rushed right back to a doctor, I told Mom that she should've done that with me and we could've gotten back there sooner... she obviously disagreed with me! FINALLY, they call me back. My ER Tech Kelly was VERY nice and he seemed to make me feel more at peace than anyone there really. I changed into my gown and waited in the bed for the doctor. After about a 20 minute wait he came in and did some tests on me... physical tests to see if I could walk a straight line, touch my nose then his finger, and some others. He decided I should have a catscan and some blood work done... (EEEEK!!!) and see how we are from there! Kelly came in to take me to my catscan which wasn't too terribly bad, just a weird feeling... like something was scanning my head and my brain!!! Raschell took me back to my room and Kelly met me back there to take my blood and give me an IV. I told him it was my first time getting one and he didn't mind but he was very gentle on my poor britle... okay it wasn't THAT bad... but my little arm that hadn't had a needle in it since I was a little girl.

Doc comes back, says there's nothing wrong just he feels I have some sort of anxiety and need to deal with my stressors in different ways! Before I left they gave me something in my IV that made me pass out and become VERY loopy!!! (I LOVED that!!!) I slept alot and have been sleeping alot more and a lot better!! I have anxiety pills now and I seem to be in better spirits about everything!! Lets hope the twitching doesnt come back to haunt me!

Umm.... this was Kaylin's first Christmas. I dont know what she was doing but it looks like stretching out to play with her new toys. :) Its pretty crazy how much my nieces and nephews have grown in such a short time. Kaylin was almost ONE and I dont think she was walking yet. (I could be wrong, but its been a while since she was at this stage so I dont remember.) I wish you could see her face but it said the 10th picture so... there you go! HAVE FUN!!!!!

Hmm... Let's See....

Hey everyone!!! Its been almost a month since I updated MY blog. I feel like I should update every week because every week I am doing something different. Let's see if I can get into a habit of doing that.

Work is going good. Both jobs are good. I interviewed for the Front End Supervisor position at Michaels!!! I really hope I get it. If I get it, I wont need to work two jobs, which would be great because I REALLY hate driving to Sandy 3-4 times a week. So yeah, cross your fingers, pray, wish me good luck (whatever your preference) and hope that I get the job!!! :)

I moved!!! HA! Okay, I just moved from the K building to the B building but it was a move. I took two car loads last Monday and Tuesday to Bobbie and Ryan's and stored that stuff in their shed. Yesterday, Mom, dad, and Matt came up and moved it from the shed to my new apartment! It only took them an hour too. Thanks again guys!!! They also moved the tv from my K apartment into the B apartment, (both apartments on the 3rd floor) WOW! I couldnt've done that. Thanks to Matt and Dad for taking it in and hooking up my cd player and tv. One less step I have to do. :)

I'm going to Canada again!!!!! :) :) I leave this Wednesday May 5th!!!! Chris' birthday is May 7 and he turns 21!!! I'm going to celebrate with him and spoil him rotten. It's only fair he spoiled me on my birthday. ;) He says birthdays aren't a big thing for him, and I say they are to me. So he's going to get a birthday party.... Emily style. :) I cant wait to go to Canada again! I am going to take more pictures of the scenery and what I'm doing. I feel like I didn't take very many legit pictures last time, so be prepared to look at some good pictures!!!

Some of you will be proud to hear this, get ready!!! I bought my own scrapbooking stuff yesterday!!! I've been using mom's since I started getting into it, but now I have my own stuff. I bought a paper trimmer, paper, a scrap pack, glue runner (yes, I got a glue runner... be proud I'm not using glue sticks or whatever), and brads. Next week I will be getting punches and maybe some cute stamps. I only spent about $13 (thanks to 3 different coupons and the sales)!!! I'm not entirely sure I want to start going to Tiffany or Emilee's clubs yet, so don't hound on me yet!! Maybe someday when I am super rich, but for right now... I'll stick to spending $15 every week/two weeks on scrapbooking stuff. :) Also, my friend Sara at work asked me if I wanted to come to the crop night at the end of this month, so I am going to go to that. :) I enjoy scrapbooking now, now that I know how to do it. Yes, you read that right. :)

****** Also, I got a new email address. Its emdawgee13@gmail.com. I haven't figured out how to change blogger and what not to my NEW email yet, but when I do I would still love to read your blogs, so for those of you who have private blogs, if you could add me with my NEW email. Thanks guys!********

*** Should I make this blog private? Send your thoughts in the comments or email me at my new address. I dont even know how many of you even read my blogs. We'll see.******

Scared....

I'm scared for what is about to go down
Cant even show a smile, but only a frown

I try to hide the streaming tears
Looking for anyone to calm these fears

I'm scared to look at myself and see nothing
Wishing and hoping, I could be something

This whole time I sit and reflect
When will I ever earn your respect?

I'm scared I've ruined all of my chances
Lost all the love and romances

I know that I have a lot to prove
My trust, my honor, and my love

I'm scared you won't forgive
I dont blame you, but it hurts to live

Live with all the hurt and pain
All the sadness and the rain

I'm scared that hope is all but lost
But I know it all comes with a cost

I'll pay the price, whatever it takes
I'd swim over any ocean or lakes

I'm scared to let you down again
But I will just start by being your friend

I'm sorry.

Lately!!!

Wow, I haven't blogged in a VERY long time! I guess since I haven't blogged in OVER A MONTH, I should update all of you on my now crazy busy life, and tell you some things I've learned this week.

Since March 5, 2010 I got a new job!!! I now work at Panda Express in South Towne Mall in Sandy. Now, I haven't moved or anything. I still live in Orem and I drive the 30 minute drive to Sandy 4 days a week. Yes, I still work at Michaels too. So that is why my life is a little bit crazier. Working 2 jobs, 6 days a week. Its been going pretty good. I've never worked fast food, and some days I am all for it but other days I am not a huge fan. I think I just need to get the hang of it, then I wont really have any problems. It pays a significant amount MORE so that is always a good thing.

So because I've been so busy, I haven't really had time to spend with friends or family or whatever, which has been REALLY hard on me; because I am very social and just want to hang out with everyone all the time, and not have to worry about work or whatever. This is what I've learned this week. In institute last night we had a discussion about Satan blinding or distracting us and the ways that he does it. The main thing that stuck out to me was knowing where your priorities are. I had dwelled upon that for the last month or so. I've noticed in my own life, finding out where my priorities are has been such a wonderful blessing. I don't over work myself, yes I work 6 days a week but with two jobs it's really only about 40 hours a week. Which isn't too much for me. I make time to spend time with family (Sundays). And I've been trying to get together with friends to go to lunch or something, just to get away from the busyness of my life. Institute is another big importance in my life. I've told BOTH jobs to NOT schedule me past 5pm Wednesday nights so that I can attend my institute class. Its only an hour and a half and I'm pretty sure I could be getting paid by working or having a funner time doing anything BUT that; however, I look forward to learning more about the gospel and strengthening my testimony. I feel like I am doing that by going to class every Wednesday night.

So I ask myself this alot. "Where are your priorities?" If they aren't the way I want them, or I'm feeling TOO overwhelmed, then I move things around until I am comfortable with it. We'll see if I can keep up this two jobs thing. There are a few things that need to be adjusted, like scripture study, prayer, and paying tithing; but I'm working on that. YAY!

Love Me Or Hate Me.... That Is The Question...

***Think of one person while reading this***
Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

Hate: to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward.
Which one do you choose? Or are you just in the middle? You dont necessarily LOVE this person but you dont HATE them either?
Is there one thing that this person does that you absolutely don't like and you hate them because of it? Do you hold grudges and harbor negative feelings for this person because they messed one or maybe two times? Do you believe in giving chances? Giving someone the benefit of the doubt? Do you just shut out this one person because they have offended you or done something to you that hurt you very much? Do you not hear them out and stick to your prideful ways and not forgive them? Do people ever change?
OR....
Is there one thing that this person does that makes you smile? Do they often cheer you up by calling you, sending you a message, or hanging out with them? Do you hear out this person and understand where they are coming from? Do you love them unconditionally even with all of their faults and weaknesses? Do you support them? Show appreciation for them?
Look at the definition of LOVE & HATE.... Which one sounds better? Which sounds worse? Which would YOU rather have someone feel about you? Would you rather have someone have terrible feelings for you? Or would you rather have someone have wonderful feelings for you?
I'll share the chorus to one of my favorite Primary Songs, I'm trying to Be like Jesus:
'Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought. For these are the things Jesus taught.'
In every situation that you're in, say "What would Jesus do?" "Would He be proud of what I am doing right now?" If not, change what you are doing so He would be proud.
So many times I look on my life and think, "Is He proud of me?" "Am I doing all that he would want me to do?" I am doing my best and my best is all I've got. He is proud of us when we try our best every day. I think sometimes we need to take a step back and evaluate our life every once in a while to keep ourselves in check of always doing what is right. I challenge each of you to do this. I will continue to do the same.

Sunday Card Making!?

Yes, card making!! I made my FIRST card a few weeks ago for mom, it was SO mediocre and plain but it was the thought of the card and what I wrote on the inside that mattered. (It was a 'Thank you' card for Mom!)

Ok, so my 2nd card, I made yesterday! NO... It's NOT the one that I posted the picure of, that one is Madelyn's card that she made for me!!! It is so fun to have Madelyn make you a card because you know she is going to put her very best and hard work towards it. The yellow ribbon is one of her favorites and I think it adds to this card. Madelyn always insists that you write on the inside of the card, so she told Grammy (Mom) what she wanted to write. I went into the other room and Madelyn just went off spouting a lot of different things, I thought it was so cute. The paper wasnt big enough for Grammy to write EVERYTHING she said, so Grammy just wrote some of what she said.

We exchanged cards and I read what she had written and she read what I wrote. Then she told Grammy she needed a bow on hers too. So my mom made her a bow and she glued it on. When it was all done, I asked for a hug and a kiss. She gives good hugs! As she was hugging me she said to me, "Em, we will always be just friends!" YAY! I will always have a best friend! Woo!!! :)

As for the card making thing.... I guess I'll just come out of the closet on that one... I scrapbook and I enjoy it! :) I've made 2 cards, 2 6x6 books, and I'm almost done with my third. No, I am not going to join Emilee's Stampin up club once a month and have 32342874982 punches, stamp sets, pads of paper, and embellishments... (a year ago I wouldnt even had KNOWN those terms let alone know what they do!) but I will continue to scrapbook and make cards. :) Now that its out in the open, I feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders! HA! Jk!

Happy scraping! :P

Root Canal. Bleh.

Today I got my first root canal! This was my first "serious" anything towards my mouth except for fillings, so let's just say I was a bit scared. I was so grateful that my mom came with me to support me. She wasn't in the room with me but it was still nice to have her there.

The assistant came in and gave me another x-ray and it wasnt so bad. Then the dentist came in and talked to me, then numbed me. It was alright, they gave me a shot to help with the pain afterwards and I had the choice to have laughing gas too, but I decided against that because I wanted to be big and not be scared. But the shot was nice because I was REALLY numb afterwards, and the pain isn't so bad, but the Tylenol is working too. They put a rubber thing over my mouth that he called a "raincoat". hahah! So they started drilling on the tooth, Jennie told me to keep my eyes closed the whole time; so thats what I did. I think the time went by pretty fast when I had my eyes closed. They took the "raincoat" off and I said, "That's it!?" By that comment, I think it went alright. The numbing wore off when we went shopping, so the ride home was kinda difficult, I slept from Nephi home. When we got home, I went directly into bed and slept for 45 minutes. It felt good.

Jennie and the kids came up and we had Hot Sweedish Sandwiches. Ryan and Tiff and the boys came too. My mouth is still in a little pain but Tylenol really helps and I think rest will too. It has been taken some getting used to, to chewing on the other side of my mouth, but I can do it for like 3 days! I dont work till Friday night so I think tomorrow will just be a full day of relaxing and naps! I cant wait. :)
