TO BE THANKFUL IS TO GIVE THANKS...

Well, Thanksgiving is tomorrow so I was thinking I should post about some of the things I am thankful for. I love to write and I've been told that all of my posts are like a story so this one isnt going to be short, just like all the other ones haven't been either.

The first and most important thing I am thankful for is my family. I am grateful that I can be myself with them. That they know when I'm sad and how to make it better. I am grateful for the men in the family that are all worthy priesthood holders and would be willing to give me a blessing if I needed one. I am grateful that I can talk to any of them about any of my problems and they won't judge me or make me feel bad. I am so grateful for the little ones in my family now, Madelyn, Hiett, Kolby, Kaylin, & Caleb. All 5 have unique ways of making me smile. I love them all very much.

Next, I am so thankful for the church. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I dont know where I would be or who I would be if I didnt have their love and support in my life, especially now. I am thankful for Jospeh Smith for restoring the gospel back on the earth for me. I am thankful to him for translating the Book of Mormon. I am so thankful for the Book of Mormon and the joy it brings to my life. I am grateful for prayer and the power it has on me and my life. I am grateful for my trials and how they make and mold who I am and make me stronger. I am grateful for our prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, for being a great role model and leader. I am grateful for all my blessings.

Next, I am thankful for my friends. For the great examples they are in my life. Examples of faith, wisdom, virtue, & so many more. A few weeks ago I was thinking to myself about how many best friends I have and I thought of almost 20. I am grateful that they were all placed in my life when they were to help make me strong and build me up. I love them all.

Of course I am thankful for temporal things too. Food, clothes, shoes, money, blankets, my laptop, my cellphone, movies, music, TV, shopping, nature, etc.. etc.

Since Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming up, I hope all of us will stop and think about what we are thankful for and what makes us really happy. I hope its not our I-phones or Rockband, but our family, friends, the gospel.. those things that make us the most happy we can be. Our best selves. I hope we will all try to remember the real meaning of the season. And thats Jesus Christ, He is the reason for the season. The one reason why we celebrate CHRISTmas!

MY NEW LOVE....

Last Thursday I fell in love again! This time it was with a fictional character! Edward Cullen! Most of my friends were obsessed with the Twilight series and we had tickets to the premiere of Twilight, and I was told to read the book before I saw the movie. So on Monday I was sending out mass texts to everyone in the valley to see if they had the book. I was broke than ever so I couldn't go buy it, even though it was only $6 at Wal*Mart and I wasn't about to go to a library. Luckily, my friend Whitney's sister had the book, so I asked if I could borrow it, she said YES! I was excited. So for the next two days I read Twilight. And can I just tell you, I loved it! I don't like reading at all and so finding a really good book, made me happy. I finished the book 5 hours before it premiered. I instantly fell in love with Edward Cullen. There was no denying it. I mean look at him!!!! ;)
Robert Pattinson was the actor that played my love on the big screen! And WOW!!! I have never seen a more gorgeous person in my entire life. Just like Stephanie Meyer described him, he is beautiful. Every feature is just perfect. He played a vampire in the movie and I would let him bite me any day! I'm that in love. After the movie, I was smiling so big I looked like the biggest dork but thats what you do when your in love. Okay so maybe that was a little much but I love this movie. I recommend that anyone go see the movie but only after they read the book. But dont have your expectations too high, they didnt use alot that was in the book but they never do with movies anymore.

Well.... I would give the Twilight movie a rating of a 8. Like I said before they didnt use alot that was in the book and I really wanted them to put some of my favorite parts from the book in it but they didnt. :( I give all the other actors a 8, just because only one person can get a 10 and thats Robert Pattinson, my love Edward Cullen. Cant wait to read New Moon, Eclipse, & Breaking Dawn and to see the movies later on! Because Rob is cast in the next two!!!! YAY!!! I loved this movie and I cant stop thinking about it. Go see it!

Newest Addition...

On Thursday, our family grew bigger! Jennie had this little baby!!! His name is Caleb Joseph Stanworth. He was 8lb 1oz and 19inches long. He has dark blue eyes and brown kinda curly hair. As you can see by the pictures, he is sooo cute. Thanks to my sister Bobbie for taking these pictures and putting them on her Facebook so I could go steal them and put them on my blog! Since I dont have a digital camera yet... 32 more days! :) Caleb & his favorite Auntie Em ;)
Little Caleb!! :)

I love this one sooo much!!! Its all 5 kids and my mom and dad!!! Madelyn (3), Hiett (2), Poppy, Caleb (3 days), Kaylin (10 months), Grammy, & Kolby (2). My family is getting alot bigger and I love it. I love kids and its just so much fun to be around all of them. They each have their own little personalities. Every single one in some way or another knows how to put a smile on my face. :) I love my family and all that they have done for me these last 21 years of my life. I couldn't survive without their love and support for me all the time. I'm so thankful for that!!!

My FIRST Utah Jazz game...

One Saturday afternoon shopping at the mall with my mom and sisters, I get a phone call from my cousin Sarah. I didnt think this phone call was going to be too special because she is getting married soon and we are constantly talking about wedding plans and what not because I am a bridesmaid. But anyway, she asked me what I was doing that following Wednesday, usually when someone asks me what I'm doing I have other plans or have to work but I didnt have either of those, so I told her nothing, why? She said that Lincoln has his Jazz tickets and couldnt go to the games during the week and she wanted to take me! Instantly I said yes, I mean I had never been to a Jazz game, only watched it on TV, so of course I was excited.

When Wednesday rolled around and I realized I hadn't done my laundry in over 2 weeks. Do you know how many clothes a person like me goes through in 2 weeks? Yeah... its a lot! So I decide since I have the entire day off work I would go to Bobbie's and do laundry. I get to her house about 1pm, thinking I can get it all done before we have to leave at 5:30pm. Boy, was I wrong? So thanks to you Bobbie for finishing my laundry while I went and had an amazing time, you're the best oldest sister ever! (I had to say oldest sister because I think Jennie and Tiff read my blog and I dont want to offend anyone.)
I was sooo stoked to go to the game, I was even more stoked when Sarah said I could wear one of her Jazz jerseys! She wore Memo and I wore Williams! I took her to dinner at Arby's which we ate in the car on the drive up to Sandy so we could get on the Trax. It had been a really long time since I had been on Trax but it was a lot of fun and we got some crazy pics too!

Anyway, so we get to the game right as it is starting! I had never been to one of the games so it was like the most amazing feeling in the world. Like imagine seeing snow for the first time or seeing the ocean for the first time! It was THAT cool! Just the lights and the sounds. They turned off the lights and had a firework thing go BOOOM after they announced each player! Then the lights turned on and the music was still going and I was pumped! The first person I saw that made it all seem so surreal was Memo! He is soooo much taller than I thought he would be! It was the most awesome thing I have ever done!

OK so Blogger said I needed to title this and I titled it 3 pointer by BOOOZER but it was Memo, so my bad! :) But Sarah took this video at the game, it was sooo sick!!!! Also at the end, she does a shot of the play being replayed on the jumbotron, which later in the game we were on! We just danced like crazy fools and it was just sooo much fun! Sarah had never been on the jumbotron and her and Lincoln always go to the games so I felt cool that we made it on there!

Another person who made it on the jumbotron was this guy! He didnt make it on there because he was dancing cute or being cool, he made it on there for being a complete idiot. As you can see, his jersey does not say "Utah" or "Jazz" on it... it says "Portland" He was rooting for the other team, (poor guy!) anyway, The Jazz Bear was going around and spraying silly string on fans and just being a character, well... this guy was NOT having that. He stood up walked towards the bear and poured his BEER on the bear! What an idiot, right? That makes it on the jumbotron too so that everyone can see, and so us UTAH fans start boo-ing at him. Security comes and takes him outside to give him a talk. The game is still going on by the way. He comes back in and fans start throwing garbage at him, Man I love Utahns! Then we all see the Jazz Bear with a green bucket running up the stairs. Security tried to stop him but he just busted past them and went and dumped a whole bucket of water on this guy and knocked him down and threw the bucket on him, that guy was so mad!!!! This is a picture that Sarah took of the bear pouring the water on him! It was classic! I was laughing so hard afterwards and will always remember that happening at my first Jazz game!!!
What a fun game that was! Jazz WON! 101-96! Thanks so much to Lincoln for giving me the chance to go see that game with his soon to be wife Sarah. She is my best friend and I knew it was hard for him to give up his ticket and his best friend too, to me for the night but it was a chance of a lifetime to go to a Jazz game with such good seats as well. Thanks also to Sarah for putting up with me at the game, I got a little wild and crazy, especially when Kyle Korver was on the court! If you havent seen this guy, look him up because he is such a HOTTIE!!! WOW! I had the best time that night and I will never forget this as long as I live. Thanks everyone!

Leah Miller aka Shorty Mac aka My Best Friend...

HAHAHA!!! That's her! My best friend and the most crazy, sweet, genuine, amazing, spiritual, funny, spontaneous person I've probably ever met, Miss Leah Miller!!! :) Leah and I met a little over a year ago and of course hit it off right then. She lived just down the hall from me and we were in the same ward too! We didnt actually become like "best friends" until this summer. I have learned so much from this girl! I've learned that no matter what life throws at you, just smile and let the Lord help you through it! Thanks Leah! :)
Let's give you the run-down on Miss Leah Miller... Leah was born March 6, 1988! She is from Bismark, North Dakota! Her mom is Honduran and her dad is white, and thats why she is sooo freaking gorgeous!!! :) She has one sister Monica and two brothers Ammon and Sam! She is the 2nd oldest, (Monica is older). She loves to sing and is really good! She was in choir throughout her life. She sings alto, which is crazy because I sang alto too! :) She is 5 feet tall! I love that! She isn't short, she's fun sized! She loves music, the color purple, Dora the Explorer, Wild Cherry Pepsi, the Boston Red Sox (dont know why?), Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, Shopping, shoes, jewelry, fun dresses, the Beatles, Dashboard, and ME! :)

Leah and I always have a fun time with each other! Last year when American Idol came on, we would watch it together throughout the whole season! It was always so much fun! I remember one of the first few times hanging out with Leah, she always had like a million rings on her fingers and I noticed that all the time and always thought it was really funny! Now she only has like 2 or 3. Her and I have this sad, sick obsession with the Bumper Sticker application on Facebook! What it is, is like funny sayings or pictures that remind us of the other one, and of course we send it to the other person so it can be posted on their profile! Funny times! We always joke and kid around with each other, which makes things so much fun! ;)

"I sent in my diamond wedding band from my first marriage and got money the very next day!" Funniest commercial ever!!!! Its one of those send in your old jewlery and we will give you money scam type things, and one lady said that and Leah and I bust up laughing and now when that commercial comes on, I always laugh and think of Leah! I'm constantly laughing or pulling crazy faces whenever I'm with Leah! I can be myself, like my true self with her!

Leah has always been a great example of faith to me! She always is smiling and so optimistic about everything! She knows how to put a smile on my face and not just one of those fake ones, a real genuine smile! :) Her testimony is so strong and I love hearing it! She knows things that I cant even imagine! I love her so much and I am glad that I know her! I'm thankful to my Heavenly Father for placing Leah in my life! She has been nothing but a joy and blessing to me. I cant believe I had 19 years without Leah in my life! I love Leah and thats why she is my best friend!

Darkest I've Ever Been....

I have been wanting to cut and color my hair for the longest time. Like, when Brandon and I were dating I really wanted to color my hair but never did because he always told me he liked my hair the way it was... suck up! But for the last month or so I have really been thinking about it. So one day I decide that I am going to do it! My friend Lauren from work always has her hair cute and colored nice and I loved the color of her hair, so I asked if she could do my hair the same color as hers and cut it a little too! She said yes. I was so stoked because I knew it was going to look amazing! I get to her house Sunday night and she is ready to work on me. Right when I get there she asked me if I was really sure about the color. That really made me smile because at first I didnt realize how drastic it was going to be. I said it was fine. So we are talking and she is coloring and she said she had different colors. I said she should put purple in my hair, so she did. There is a small strand of purple, from these pics you wont be able to tell but if you see me in person you can! Its on the left side, kinda underneath! :) Lauren styled my hair when I was done and then I looked at it and was sooo shocked! I couldnt believe how dark it was but I love it! I think it makes me look older and smarter! Thanks to my roomie Michelle for taking the pic of the back of my head! :)
Soooo happy my hair is dark and cute!!!

I love my new hair! Ccchanges!!! :)

4 Months.....

I remember the good times, like they were yesterday!
But all of those memories are fading slowly away.

4 months ago he broke my heart in two.
Now I'm left with nothing but being oh so blue.

I loved him more than words can say.
I still think about him everyday.

The feelings I have are still so strong.
Sometimes I know we belong.

Together in heart and mind.
One love in which you will find.

I still feel the pain and all the hurt.
I still wear his shorts and shirt.

I want my best friend back forever to stay.
Never do I want him to leave or go away.

I love him still.
Probably always will.

But it's time to move on with my life.
Prepare myself to be someone else's wife.

Everyday I wake up and be the best me I can.
Until that one day I marry "my man".

That one guy who can make all my dreams come true.
And never make me feel angry, sad, or blue.

Someone who is not only my love, but my best friend.
Always and forever, today, tomorrow, and until the end.

My 2 Best Friends...

Ok... most people have their best friends be someone who is about their same age, went to the same elementary, middle, and high school together; but I consider my best friends people who will never let me down or hurt me intentionally in any way. They will never say anything bad about me to my face or behind my back, they are true at all times. Of course they aren't around my age, but its these 2 little girls.. Madelyn (3) in the pink shirt & Kaylin (almost 9months) in the OU shirt! These girls always know how to put a real genuine smile on my face and I can really be "myself". I lost "the real me" a few months back but these girls sure know how to bring me back! I love them more than anything and I will definately blog more about them later... its just 3am and I'm really tired. Maybe tomorrow, who knows! Night!

My Second Home!!!

Yep, thats the place! Babies R Us! I've been working there for a little over 2 years, and man have there been some rough times but also some really good times. I mean, what job doesnt have lazy associates or crazy anal customers, but even worse at my job they are crazy anal pregnant customers. (the best kind, I hear.. wink wink)

Yes, there are good things about working at the baby superstore. :) Some, not many but some. It's a way chill enviroment, not too busy but not too slow. It's a very clean kept store and things are easy to find, unlike Wal-Mart. We get a sweet discount and most of the associates there are way down to earth. Today a guest told me that we have the best deals on baby clothes she has ever seen, I felt proud and definately agreed, plus they are super cute! ;)

I'm really really ridiculously good looking!
One of my best friends also works at the store with me (thank God Nickie is still there or I would have some serious going to work with a smile pasted on issues). Nickie Kurip, this paragraph is for you! ;) When I started working at BRU in September 2006, I was only 18 and was just moving out of the house, shy as ever, until I met Luella (Nickie) Kurip! My sister worked at the day care where Nickie's daughter goes to, and told me that I should start being friends with Nickie, 'cuz she was the bomb (like tick..tick..) So I took my sisters advice and started having short conversations with Nickie. She had been with the company for 2 years before me, and so she had alot more friends than me and it was hard to really fit in at first. But, of course, we put all differences aside and have been best friends ever since. :) We are friends with other people that work there too but we have just connected better. And I mean, look at how much fun we have had together! (The picture says it all)

Every job no matter what it is has at least one BAD thing. Mine has at least 10, maybe more. But lets just start with 10. (We can add more later if we need to.)

#1 Laziness of associates... PET PEEVE NUMERO UNO as well for me... It's retail, there is always something that needs to be done. If you dont know a department, ask to learn it. Don't just sit on your butt all day while the rest of us get paid to bust our butts. Don't coop yourself up in the office all day, we know your not working in there. You're not fooling anyone but yourselves.

#2 Guests and the new Return Policy.... you knew it changed, we told you 2 months in advance, so why are you still coming in and wanting to return things? You know its 90 days, not 96, not 165, not even 91... 90!!!! Also, why do you open them, use them, damage them, and then tell me there is "nothing wrong with it"? Of course, there is something wrong with it, you used it and broke it... deal with it!!

#3 Those guests that ALWAYS want to talk to a manager... you have told the guest 40 billion times NO and they insist on talking to a manager, of course you get the manager and what do they say right off, YES! Whats up with that?!

#4 The vending machine not having any good snacks and not changing out the old nasty snacks... no one likes the Chilli Chesse Fritto's or the 2 year old gum. Get us good freaking snacks! Like, those one Big Texas Cinnamon Raisin rolls..mmm!!! And take out that old Juicy Fruit gum that tastes like black licorice and is harder than rocks. It's like I'm chewing nails.

#5 The associates who pawn a guest on you because they don't want to help them or it's not their department... First, I'm being honest now and saying I am a hypocrite because I have done this before, I'm not saying I'm proud of doing it but it has happened...in the past! Just don't do it. I understand if you're new and dont know anything about anything, but if you've been working there at least 6 months, you pretty well know where everything is. And if you are new, stay there with me, so you can learn about the product too. Just dont give me your problem guest, I dont want their drama too.

#6 Ok, speaking of drama... dont tell me your problems...associates! I dont care if your roomates sister's boyfriend's, mom's, step child has an eating disorder and you want to help her out. I dont care! Sorry, I will act like I do but I really couldn't care less. Keep your problems to yourself and keep them quietly, no one wants to know either.

#7 Dont talk about my friends that I work with behind their back to me... Yeah, she's a horrible worker and is kinda slow at times but she is something special to me. Just dont gossip, it makes you look dumber and really immature.

#8 Be fair with everyone... If I'm late, you're gonna yell at me... If she's late, you will slap her hand and say, "Bad girl, dont let it happen again!" Say what? Yell at that girl too! She's late more than I am! Equal opportunity employer... remember? You dont judge upon religion, race, background, gender, yaddi yaddi yadda!!! Just be fair!

#9 TURN THE MUSIC BACK ON!!!!!! I cant stand to hear the off-key songs other associates sing...OUT LOUD!!! I dont care what kind of music you put on...just put something on!!! I cant take it anymore!!! I need music in that place, please!!! ANYTHING!!!

And... #10 Be true to your word... if you say you will do something do it. Make it happen. If I ask for something, I want you to be real to me and tell me straight up what you think. Dont lie to me and tell me I'm sure to get the position and over a MONTH later, hear nothing back from anyone! If I'm not doing a good job, tell me! And if I am, tell me! And give me the position already!! I've been over in that department for over a month and I've been told by other associates that it looks better than it did before. I get the question everyday, "Have they given you the supervisor position yet?" Answer, "No, they are still thinking about it!" GIVE IT TO ME!!

I love my job, I really do! Best part, all the babies and small children that come in. I could just live to make babies smile, who in turn make me smile. That is the best part of my job! And Nickie, of course! :) It's a good place to work, most of the time! Not the best 2 years of my life, but hey, thats life! Boo yah!
